Wolfgang Puck Bistro inside Macy's at South Coast Plaza review
Aesthetically the space is on the dim side, clean and modern lines. It did feel a bit unkept, which was suprising with having a celebrity chef name on the door. Two different booths we passed had ripped bench seating. Coming from a hospital industry, that is a no-no for us but perhaps is acceptable in the restaurant industry?
Potato chips with blue cheese "fondue" but as the waiter then described it is basically alfredo sauce mixed with blue cheese. Whatever it was, it tatsted good.
Bacon wrapped meatloaf (drool)
Pretty sure these were the best mashed potatoes of my entire life.
My son enjoyed his pizza, and ate the whole thing!
My daughter did her best with the large bowl of spaghetti. She couldn't eat it all, but she liked it. Plenty for leftovers.
Desert was a chocolate ganache with ice cream and cookie crumbles. This is a super rich, dark chocolate - so beware. A few bites will be sufficient.
While it was tasty, it was also expensive. Neither my husband or myself ordered an alcoholic beverage and the bill came out to $90 for the four of us to eat. It was really good food, but I'm not sure I would splurge like that again without a restaurant.com or Groupon coupon.
